Distance: 75 miles

Elevation: +2470 / -4314

Temperature: 81 degrees

Today we left Jackson to head to Twin Bridges. There were two passes to climb. But, unlike yesterday, there was a tail wind!! Consequently, everyone rolled into Twin Bridges much earlier today compared to yesterday, even with the same mileage!

Looking back at the Continental Divide from the top of the first pass.

Climbing the first pass.

There were 42 miles of open landscape between Jackson and Dillon, where we would have lunch before heading out for the remaining 33 miles. All of the climbing was done for the day!

Lowlights:

Today is Don’s last day sagging for us. Thank you for taking such AMAZING care of us throughout the trials and tribulations along the way. We’re really going to miss you, Don!

Tomorrow, we’re off to Ennis, MT!

You had a gentle day...with a tail wind, sunshine, and warm temperatures! Losing Don is never a fun thing, but he has a way of getting you on your way and knowing you can now get the job done. Craig and Don were SAGging for me and MJ on the Natchez Trace...MJ got so frustrated with Craig she just got on her bike and rode away...and I followed. It takes talent to be SAG. :) Once again, the pictures of the riders are beautiful, joyous. Enjoy the mountain passes, every pedal of climbing.
